What You Really Need to Know
People seem to want to know about a church's pastor or leadership team. We get that, but it's also important to us that you know that those who serve in leadership roles are only a small part of what makes our church what it is.
Church isn't really a place, but a people and all of our people are vital to the ministry that we do. We've seen that you don't have to be a paid vocational pastor to do real ministry.
We believe that God has uniquely gifted every Christian to be a minister in one capacity or another.
Our church is fortunate to be able to support two pastors to help teach and equip us for ministry. You'll find more information below.

Dan Masshardt - Pastor
Dan is our lead pastor and shares the message at most Sunday morning gatherings. His greatest passion is communicating the life changing message of the Bible to both committed followers of Jesus and those who are exploring for themselves who Jesus is.
Dan and Heather have been married for 15 years and have three children - Caleb, Isaac and Anna. Heather and Dan are both from Massachusetts where they attended Eastern Nazarene College.
in 2001 Dan transferred to Messiah College and completed a degree in Bible there before going on to Evangelical Theological Seminary to receive a Masters of Divinity degree. When Dan and Heather were initially looking for a church to attend while Dan was finishing his program at Messiah, they visited Fairview Bethel and were warmly welcomed. We've been here ever since!
When we began attending Fairview, Pastor Gene (see below) found out that Dan was in school for ministry and quickly invited him to experience the various responsibilities involved in pastoral leadership. They have worked so well together than when Dan graduated from seminary and was ordained, Gene stayed on in a part time capacity and Dan became the lead pastor.
When he's not teaching the Bible, Dan also enjoys woodworking and woodturning.
